Section Policies

The Revista Argentina de Musicología (RAM) organizes its publications into the following sections, designed to encompass a wide range of disciplinary approaches and contributions:

Editorial: Introduction to the issue by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, or Editorial Team of the Journal (RAM).
Dossier*:
A collection of articles grouped around a specific thematic focus. It is typically curated by guest editors and aims to delve deeper into debates or areas of current interest within the discipline.
Free Articles*: Original, unpublished research papers on open-ended topics within the fields of music and musicology.
Reviews**: Brief critical texts on recent publications of academic relevance, such as books, sheet music editions, or recorded works.
Interviews**: Conversations with researchers, creators, performers, or prominent figures in the music world who offer valuable insights and reflections for the academic community.
Authorized translations**: Spanish versions of articles, essays, or seminal texts originally published in other languages, for which the necessary reproduction permissions have been obtained.
Documents**: A section dedicated to the dissemination, analysis, and promotion of primary musical sources. This section includes the publication of transcriptions, iconography, digitized materials, catalogs, and other archival materials.
Obituary**: An essay announcing the recent passing of an individual and commemorating their life, personal achievements, or public significance.
